ABOUT ME
The Experimental Educator

When I started to think of what to blog about, my initial idea was to stick to what I know: education. But honestly, although teaching is a big part of my life, it isn't my whole identity and there are already some amazing teacher blogs already out there that focus on big educational issues. Instead, I wanted to start something more personal that reflects all of my passions and interests.

Not only do I love teaching, but I also love psychology, clothes, hair & beauty, make-up, TV and the odd G&T. I may not be an actual expert in any of these things, but I'll share what I know and maybe someone will find it interesting or useful.
So this is my blog, welcome and please bear with me!

I have been an English and Media Studies teacher on the Isle of Man for the past eight years and I am currently studying for a Masters in Educational Leadership. I've wanted to start a blog for a number of years, but there was always something that got in the way and I kept saying to myself, 'I'll start it during the next holiday' (spoiler: on 99.9% of occasions, that was a lie).
