Welcome to my very first ever blog post! Yay!

In the immortal words of Dr Nick, 'Hi everybody!' This week I have finally gotten round to starting this blog, which has incidentally been years in the making. I'd been milling over the idea of starting a blog for a while and had even toyed with the idea of YouTube, but I have a pretty nasal voice and although I probably shouldn't admit it, my video editing skills are not that great! So, I decided to stick to what I know: the written word.
At the very least, I hope that you'll find what I have to say entertaining or interesting, but I really hope that you'll also find something useful along the way.
My main vision for this blog is 'teacher lifestyle'. Education is important to me, but it's not the only thing that I'm passionate about. Along my blogging journey I'll discuss teaching and education (obviously), but I'll also post about and review my experiments with products, tips and tricks relating to fashion, make-up, beauty and maybe the odd gin or two. On a lowly teacher salary, I'm not going to post about any bank-breaking products, nor am I being paid for anything I blog about, so you'll know that this post is a 100% undiluted, honest opinion.
As a final note, although the family and friends I'll share this blog with will know who I am, for the time being I'm going to keep my blog and personal identities separate (at least until I take the perfect blog selfie). I might change my mind in the future, especially if I ever expand into YouTube videos, but for now, you can just call me E.E. (experimental educator).
If you like what you see, please comment on my blog, send me a message or use your email address to subscribe (that way you'll be the first to know when I publish a new post). My initial plan is to publish a new post every week, but I'll probably post a bit more once the whole GCSE and A Level coursework marking period is over!
Until next time,
E.E.
